Pelatihan Microsoft Excel Bagi Siswa Ekstrakurikuler Komputer SMP Negeri 2 Rakit

Abstract

Training on Microsoft Excel has a significant role in enhancing students' digital literacy in the information era. This activity was conducted as part of community service at SMP Negeri 2 Rakit, Banjarnegara, involving students from the computer extracurricular program in grades VII and VIII. The training was carried out in two sessions, including orientation, theoretical foundation, and hands-on practice with prepared modules. The materials covered the introduction to Excel's interface, basic functions, the use of simple formulas, and data visualization through graphs. The training results showed that most students were able to understand and apply basic Excel skills, such as data processing and chart creation. Students also displayed high enthusiasm in completing the final task, which involved a simple case study. However, challenges such as limited training time and inadequate computer facilities were encountered. This activity successfully raised students' awareness of the importance of technology in supporting learning and everyday life. For future development, the training is proposed to include advanced materials and involve educators to broaden its impact. Thus, this program can serve as a strategic step in improving students' digital competence and supporting more innovative education.
